Preach

Over his lifetime, Phoenix rap artist "Preach" has transformed himself from being a runaway, gang-banging, dope dealing hustler to potentially on of the most prolific and insightful rappers of modern times.

Preach was born to the hard luck streets of Lubbock, TX. At an early age his family, struggling to make it, picked up and moved to Phoenix, AZ with hopes of a better life. The family moved but for Preach life did not get much better. Various family hardships resulted in the 12 year old Preach becoming one with the hardened streets of the westside of Phoenix.

With no family around for support or guidance, young Preach was lured into the lifestyle of gang activity and drug dealing. Surrounded by poverty and common news of death, Preach managed to survive and eventually found an outlet to express his version of life. That outlet was found in the form of rap.

His contributions to the success of the group resulted in their achieving #5 for BILLBOARD'S HOT R&B/HIP-HOP SINGLS with the song "BOUNCE" and the #7 position for BILLBOARD'S HOT R&B/HIP-HOP SINGLE SALES and #28 for HOT SINGLE SALES for the song "Immaculate". The group stayed on the charts for 19 weeks. Preach was an integral part of the Survivalist becoming the FIRST PHOENIX RAP GROUP TO HIT TOP 10 ON THE BILLBOARD HOT 100 SINGLES CHARTS. While with the Survivalist, Preach worked with industry giants such as DJ Battlecat, Swizz Beatz, Kanye West, Brian (B-Dubb) Wilson, Salih Williams and Perry Amos as well as similarly hot producers in the Phoenix-metro area.

Every moment in Preach's life has prepared him for this moment. It is this moment that hip-hop needs a new leader, it is at this moment Phoenix artists are in the spotlight, it is at this moment Preach is the total package. He has valuable experience in the record business plus the lyrical ability to make listeners shake their ass as well as nod their heads with acceptance of a new lyrical meaning. It is at this moment you should make a decision that prevents you from looking back at this moment with regret that you did not seize the opportunity to give the world of hip-hop her king again. Seize this moment.
